BI 1.1 - Cognos BI Data Manager Developer:

Intended for developers of IBM Cognos® BI Data Manager. This course offers hands-on learning to Build Datamarts with Enterprise Data (V8.4). The participants will learn how to move, merge, consolidate, and transform data from a range of data sources to build and maintain subject-area data marts. They will also create a catalog and add connections to data sources and targets, as well as deliver fact and dimension data to a data mart through the use of builds and the dimensional framework. In addition, participants will learn how to automate common functionality and handle complex data issues, such as unbalanced hierarchical structures.

BI 1.2 - Cognos BI Framework Developer:

Intended for developers of IBM Cognos® Framework Manager. This course offers hands-on practices that provide participants with introductory to advanced knowledge of metadata modeling concepts, and how to model metadata for predictable reporting and analysis results using Framework Manager. Participants will learn the full scope of the metadata modeling process, from initial project creation, to publishing of metadata to the Web, enabling end users to easily author reports and analyze data.

BI 1.3 - Cognos BI Author Boot camp:

Intended for power users, developers and administrators who are responsible for authoring Cognos BI reports. This course provides hands-on practice and covers an introduction to Cognos Connection, basic report building techniques, and how to enhance, customize, and manage professional reports in Report Studio. Through interactive practices, users will learn the report building process and basic report management.

BI 1.4 - Cognos BI Administrator:

Intended for administrators who are responsible for creating and maintaining Cognos BI architecture. This course provides hands-on practice for participants to learn how to identify components and sub-components of the IBM Cognos 8 architecture and how to troubleshoot these components using various tools and techniques. Through lecture and hands-on exercises participants will identify IBM Cognos 8 components, examine how these components interact with Java, and identify specific examples of request flows through the system. They will also configure logging on these components to troubleshoot issues.
